clear and beautiful, just planted a zepherine drouhin climbing rose and pansies, sedum, now making space for iris and daylillies, alliums and baptista. oh no, not another garden bed.
still tearing great hunks of crabgass out and re-seeding. i need an assitant, anyone want to make
$10 an hour weeding at my house? really.

today we walked about collecting acorns from live oaks along the beach.
rainy, blowy and very fall-ish.

it's monday...i am working on a p and t report and my usual three hours a day of weed pulling
which explains the lovely outfit. surprise, i am smiling because ratso is following me around
like a dog, though he is clearly a cat

lulus birthday party is today, hence the styling on the giants picnic table (my runway)
10 or so five and six year olds, bogey and a deliciously pink cake from pattie.
what a clear and sharp day. basic mom look as i fade into the background, black pants, a blue silk shirt i made in 1999.

today i am waiting for 16 cubic yards of topsoil, baking my sister a b-day cake, shuttling children and preparing a b-day party for lulu, turning 6!
this soft corduroy shirt was my dad's, don't feel bad if you don't like it, i have its twin in pumpkin!
