this lovely tunic was designed by me in 1988 for arlequin. i wore it as a mini dress in my nyc days with 3" robert clergerie heels. hard to fathom if you know me now. silk charmeuse.
i can't use my usual runway because the 40 mph winds are sending branchelets and bits of jeff's roof my way

first i wore overalls and pulled/dug more wire grass...ugh
now i have my jeans with a black turtleneck and a beautiful 1940's wool jacket which is two sizes too small for me. if you want it let me know as it's on it's way out

amazing sansa-belt internal 4' wide waistband, like a hernia truss (providing critical support for the massive holiday cookie shaped marsupial pouch of the season)
a black turtleneck. 70 degrees and blowing wind, digging up a bed of wire grass

planting today, 10 wee little trees which will provide blossoms, berries, shade and landscape interest. hence the look, pragmatic. silk sweater from target, fleece jacket worn exclusively in the yard, overalls and rubber boots

snow snow snow then yesterday 48 and rain! today snow (so much here the rain didn't affect it)
over ice and snow crust. sledding after dinner. lulu throws her body into drifts like a dog, she's never seen the stuff before.

it's christmas eve and lulu is very excited and hoping santa can find where she is holed up.

we're driving north. chautauqua county was actually closed for a few days and only now are the roads passable. we're in pittsburgh, right downtown at the renaissance hotel which is nice.

headed north, today we will make it to pittsburgh. north in westrn ny another snow advisory including lake effect snow of 2 inches an hour and white out conditions. we may just stay in pittsburgh!
